Cancellation & Refund Policy

At RentPer, we strive to provide a seamless rental experience for our customers. However, we understand that plans can change. Please review our Cancellation and Refund Policy below to understand your rights and obligations when making a booking with us.

1. Cancellation Policy

For Renters:

  • Cancellations can only be made after placing an order, but may not be entertained if orders have already been communicated to vendors or merchants.
  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the rental start date will receive a full refund of both the rent and deposit.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the rental start date will result in a deduction of [X%] of the total rent amount, but the deposit will be refunded in full.
  • No-shows or cancellations after the rental start time will result in no refund of the rent. However, the deposit will be refunded if there is no damage or violation of rental terms.

For Vendors:

  • Owners must provide at least 48 hours' notice if they wish to cancel a confirmed booking. In such cases, the renter will receive a full refund of both rent and deposit.
  • If an owner cancels within 48 hours of the rental start date, the renter will receive a full refund, and the owner may be subject to penalties.
  • Frequent cancellations by owners may result in penalties, including temporary or permanent suspension from the RentPer platform.

2. Refund Policy

  • The rent amount is refundable as per the cancellation policy stated above.
  • The deposit amount will be refunded in full upon return of the rented item in its original condition, subject to inspection.
  • If damages or violations are found, the deposit may be partially or fully withheld to cover repair or replacement costs.
  • Refunds will be processed within 7 business days to the original payment method.
  • In case of disputes regarding cancellations, damages, or refunds, our customer support team will review the case and provide a resolution.

3. Exceptions & Special Cases

  • In cases of emergencies or extenuating circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, medical emergencies), RentPer may offer full or partial refunds at its discretion.
  • If an owner cancels a booking last minute, renters will receive a full refund and may be eligible for compensation.
  • If the rented item is not as described or non-functional, the renter must report the issue within 5 hours of receiving the item for a potential refund or replacement.
  • If the product is not as shown on the site or meets your expectations, bring it to the attention of the Customer Service Team within 5 hours. The team will then get it replaced or a refund will be initiated at your convenience.
